Choose a weight for you Jian. Once crafted, the final weight of your Jian can vary up to 35g above or under the choosen weight.

  • Light weight : 400 to 574 grams

  • Light-Middle weight : 575 to 699 grams

  • Middle weight : 700 to 799 grams

  • Full weight : 800 to 950 grams​​

  • Light weight Jian : Ash or Red Oak

  • Light-Middle weight Jian : Ash, Red Oak, White Oak, Hard Maple, Hickory

  • Middle weight Jian : Hickory, White Oak, Hard Maple, Bloodwood, Purple Heart

  • Full weight Jian : Hickory, Bloodwood, Purple Heart

Prices :

  • Hickory, Ash and Red Oak : Included in the starting price​

  • Hard Maple and White Oak : + 12 CAD

  • Hickory is the most popular and versatile wood choice.

Note : The blade length is measured from the grip side of the guard and the grip length does not include the pommel.​

  • Full-Contact Sparring Blade : Rounded edges and tip for heavy drilling and sparring.

  • Technical-Contact Drilling Blade : Semi-rounded edges and tip, can withstand intensive drilling and applications but is unsafe for full heavy sparring.
