Changdao 長刀
The Changdao 長刀 (Two-handed long saber) is a long, two-handed saber known for its extended reach and powerful momentum. Typically featuring a slender, curved blade mounted on an elongated hilt, it was designed for large sweeping cuts and battlefield control. During the Ming dynasty, it was reintroduced as a frontline infantry weapon, notably under General Qi Jiguang, who integrated techniques influenced by Japanese long sabers such as the ōdachi.
