Wood

Select a hardwood, listed below from lightest to heaviest. All woods are finish with three coats of resistant oil sealer and can withstand contact training.

Extra: White Oak (+12 CAD), Purple Heart (+20 CAD), Jatoba (+20 CAD), Bloodwood (+20 CAD), Wenge(+30 CAD).

Weight ranges available for each wood:

Ash and Red Oak : Featherweight to Lightweight

Hard Maple : Lightweight and Middleweight

White Oak, Hickory and Wenge: Middleweight and light-heavyweight

Purple Heart, Jatoba and Bloodwood : Light-Heavyweight and Heavyweight

Blade

Choose your blade:

1. Sparring Blade: Rounded edges and tip for heavy drilling and sparring, safer for a training partner or opponent's body. Can also be used for form training and lighter applications.

2. Technical Blade: Semi-rounded edges and tip, also suited for intensive drilling (blade on blade) and moderate contact applications to a training partner’s body, but unsafe for full-contact sparring.

Style

All styles have the same build quality. The different designs are purely aesthetic. These options are the same as for the Jian. The same images are used for reference, although the Shuangshoujian will feature a longer handle in its actual dimensions.

164 CAD: Three-layer cross-laminated disc guard with lobes, paired with a matching three-lobed pommel. Only available for the Shuangshou Jian.

Grip

These options are the same as for the Jian. The same pictures are used for reference, although the actual dimensions of the Shuangshoujian's handle will be longer.

1 : Natural oiled wood grip : Included
2 : Black painted and varnished : + 15 CAD
3 : Natural oiled grip with contrasted woods (choose surface wood in wood options) : + 15 CAD
4 : Genuine leather wrap on black grip : +65 CAD (more expensive than the Jian because of the extra grip length)
5 : Genuine leather wrap on dark red handle : +70 CAD (more expensive than the Jian because of the extra grip length)
6 : Additional option of contrasted wood on guard and pommel : +20 CAD (Choose contrasted wood in wood options. This option is match with any other grip option. For example, on the photo below, you have Option 6 (+20 CAD) + Option 3 (+15 CAD) with Bloodwood. The total is +35 CAD

The same photos of options 1 to 5 of the Jian options are used as reference. Of course, the Shuangshoujian handle is longer, like on photo 6.
